Sevilla Open To Selling Iheanacho Amid EPL Interest

Date:

Sevilla is prepared to part ways with Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho if a suitable offer is received this January, according to the club’s sporting director, Victor Orta.

The 28-year-old has struggled to make an impact since joining Sevilla on a free transfer last summer.

While he has scored three goals in two Copa del Rey matches, he has failed to find the net in nine LaLiga appearances.

This lack of form has fueled speculation about his future, with Premier League clubs Ipswich Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly expressing interest in a January move.

“The market is open,”Orta told Diario de Sevilla.

“We have the obligation to study all the offers. There are three parts.

“The players also have their feelings about their future. With the market open, anything can happen with any name.”

Sevilla, facing financial constraints, is eager to sell players to fund reinforcements.

A good offer for Iheanacho could seal his exit as the club looks to bring in a more prolific striker.

Meanwhile, Iheanacho will be hoping to improve his form in the coming weeks, either to secure his place at Sevilla or to attract interest from other clubs.
