An Oyo State High Court, sitting at Ring Road, has granted bail to Olori Naomi Silekunola, Alhaji Oriyomi Hazmat, and Abdulahi Fasasi. The ruling was made on Monday by Justice K.B. Olawoyin, presiding over Court 8, following a bail application filed by their legal counsel.
The court’s decision follows arguments made on January 7, 2025, by the trio’s lawyers, who requested bail on their behalf. Justice Olawoyin set five conditions for the bail, which include a sum of N10 million and two sureties who must provide landed property documents within the jurisdiction of the court.
Additionally, the applicants are required to deposit their international passports with the court, and they are prohibited from granting interviews during the ongoing case.
This ruling follows the legal proceedings concerning the stampede incident involving the three individuals. The court’s decision to grant bail is seen as a significant development in the ongoing case, which has garnered public attention.
The case remains under investigation, and the court has set further dates for hearings.
