Man United Set €50M Price for Garnacho

Date:

Napoli is reportedly preparing a move for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho as they seek to fill the void left by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is set to join Paris Saint-Germain. The 20-year-old Garnacho has fallen out of favor under United’s new manager Ruben Amorim, with the Argentine winger having been benched for the past five matches.

Kvaratskhelia, a key player for Napoli, is expected to leave the club after expressing his desire to move on. With his departure imminent, Napoli is actively looking for a replacement, and United’s Garnacho is said to be high on their list. Antonio Conte, Napoli’s manager, has reportedly identified the talented winger as his preferred choice to fill Kvaratskhelia’s shoes.

Garnacho’s price tag is set at €50 million (£42 million), a figure United is reportedly prepared to accept given his limited playing time this season. The winger has not started a match since a December loss to Nottingham Forest and has struggled to adapt to Amorim’s 3-4-3 system. Despite his challenges at Old Trafford, Garnacho has enjoyed a promising start to his career, scoring 23 goals in 115 appearances for United.

The move comes at a time when United is working to comply with the Premier League’s strict profit and sustainability rules. Players like Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo, who are homegrown talents, are highly valued as they bring in substantial profits due to their status. While United would prefer to keep these young talents, the financial pressures and the club’s desire to generate revenue could see Garnacho and Mainoo up for sale.

Reports suggest that United’s preference is to part ways with Garnacho, with the club seemingly willing to let the winger leave despite his potential. As Napoli prepares for their title challenge, they hope to secure a deal with United before the January transfer window closes.

United fans will be closely watching the situation as the club navigates this pivotal moment in Garnacho’s career, with both Napoli and United working to find a resolution that benefits all parties.
