Rivers Angels Football Club is gearing up for an exciting new chapter as they prepare to unveil their new head coach, Tosan Blankson, alongside the squad and jerseys for the upcoming season.
This highly anticipated event will take place on Sunday, January 12, at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Elekahia, offering fans and the media an exclusive preview before the league action kicks off.
In a statement released through the club’s media platform, General Manager Matilda Otuene-Onyiloha said the importance of this unveiling in strengthening the bond between the team and its supporters.
“This is a new chapter for Rivers Angels. We want our supporters to meet the players who will proudly wear the badge of Rivers State as the league begins on January 15th,” Otuene-Onyiloha said.
“We deeply appreciate our fans and urge them to attend in large numbers on Sunday at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium. This unveiling is for them, and we look forward to celebrating with them at the stadium.”
The unveiling event promises to offer fans an intimate first look at the revamped squad, fresh jerseys, and the vision of their new coach, Tosan Blankson.

Following the unveiling, Rivers Angels will kick off their 2025 season on January 15, with a home fixture against Ibom Angels at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.
