FIIRO Lagos Office Fire Destroys Property Worth Millions

A fire outbreak has gutted the Federal Institute of Industrial Research (FIIRO) office in Oshodi, near Cappa Bus Stop, Lagos State. The incident occurred early on December 26, 2024, prompting a swift response from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA).

Emergency responders are currently working to contain the blaze, which has caused extensive damage to property valued at millions of naira. No casualties have been reported as of the time of this report.

A LASEMA official, speaking to the Tribune Online, stated that investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire. “Investigations are still ongoing to determine what triggered this unfortunate incident,” the official said.
