Police Baretta Claims ₦30M 18-Seater Bus After NLO Super 8 win

Date:

Police Baretta Football Club of Gombe won an 18-seater bus worth ₦30m after clinching the New Year Mega Lottery Nationwide League One Super 8 title.

The team triumphed over Family Worship Champions FC of Abuja, winning 6-5 on penalties after a goalless draw in regular time.

The final match, held at the Bwari Stadium Complex in Abuja on Saturday, saw both teams deliver impressive performances.

The victory earned Police Baretta a symbolic key to the 18-seater bus, as part of the reward for their unbeaten championship.

The New Year Mega Lottery had announced earlier that the winner of the NLO Division One would receive the bus, valued at ₦30m, as part of its sponsorship of the competition.

In addition to the bus, the lottery firm, licensed by the Nigeria Lottery Commission, also provided five match balls and badges for all registered clubs in the league.

The New Year Mega Lottery Nationwide League One Super 8 Tournament, which began on December 16, 2024, has generated intense competition, culminating in the thrilling final.

The four-year sponsorship deal between the New Year Mega Lottery and NLO aims to further elevate the profile of the competition and support the league’s future seasons.

This year’s tournament benefits from a major sponsorship agreement between the New Year Mega Lottery and the Nationwide League One, a partnership signed earlier this year in Abuja, which has helped elevate the profile of the competition.
