Manchester United and Chelsea are set for a fierce transfer battle for Bayern Munich star Leroy Sane, with both Premier League clubs vying for the 28-year-old winger ahead of the January transfer window.
Sane, who enjoyed a successful four-year stint at Manchester City, where he won two Premier League titles and an FA Cup, returned to Germany in 2020. However, with his contract at Bayern Munich expiring in June, his future has come under intense scrutiny. Talks over a new deal have stalled, prompting interest from some of Europe’s top clubs.
In addition to United and Chelsea, Premier League rival Tottenham is also reported to be monitoring the situation closely. However, the English trio will face stiff competition from Barcelona, who have expressed a keen interest in signing the German international.
