Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has inaugurated a new security outfit, the Benue State Civil Protection Guards (BSCPG), codenamed Anyam Nyor, aimed at enhancing safety across the state.
Speaking during the launch, Governor Alia reassured residents of his administration’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property while creating a conducive environment for all to thrive.
He called on all Benue indigenes, both at home and in the diaspora, to support his government’s efforts to achieve lasting peace and security.
As part of the initiative, the governor donated 100 Hilux vehicles and 6,000 special combat motorcycles to security agencies, underscoring his administration’s dedication to bolstering security infrastructure in the state.
“This is a bold step towards ensuring the safety of every Benue citizen. I urge all well-meaning sons and daughters of the state to support our administration as we build a secure and prosperous Benue for all,” Governor Alia said.
The inauguration marks a significant stride in the government’s efforts to address security challenges and foster development across the state.
