NPFL: Rangers Aim for 10th Unbeaten Game Against Katsina

Date:

Rangers International of Enugu will seek to extend their unbeaten streak to 10 matches when they face Katsina United at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina.

Rangers, who defeated Rivers United 1-0 last weekend, are currently on a nine-game unbeaten run, placing them just two points behind league leaders, Remo Stars and Rivers United.

Rangers are undefeated in their last five away matches and will look to maintain their position as the team with the longest unbeaten away record in the competition.

Katsina United, who have drawn twice and lost once at home this season, will aim for their third consecutive home win, which would be a first for them this season.

In another NPFL match, Ikorodu City will host league leaders Remo Stars at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.

The Oga Boys, who recently saw a six-game unbeaten streak ended by Bayelsa United, will hope to bounce back.

A win could take Ikorodu City within two points of Remo Stars, depending on the result of Rangers’ match.

Rivers United, who had their four-match unbeaten run halted by Rangers, will look to respond with a win against Kwara United in Port Harcourt.

A victory could put Rivers United three points clear at the top if Remo Stars fail to secure a result against Ikorodu City.

Heartland, coming off a loss to Plateau United, will seek to return to winning ways against Bendel Insurance at the Dan Anyiam Stadium.

A win would move Heartland up to sixth place, while Bendel Insurance, struggling in the bottom three, will look for their second away win of the season.

In Maiduguri, El Kanemi Warriors will host Abia Warriors. El Kanemi, who have struggled at home this season, will hope to secure another point, while Abia Warriors, who have lost their last three away games, will aim to break their losing streak.

Lastly, Bayelsa United will look to extend their unbeaten run to four games when they face Akwa United at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.

With Akwa United enduring a seven-match away losing streak, Bayelsa United will be confident of securing another three points to move further up the NPFL standings.
