Oil Marketers, NNPCL Forge Pact for Smooth Yuletide Fuel Distribution

Date:

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and the Petroleum Retail Operators Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) have reached an agreement to ensure seamless nationwide distribution of petroleum products during and after the Yuletide season.

This was revealed by Dr. Joseph Obele, National Public Relations Officer of PETROAN, following a meeting between the association’s leadership and NNPCL Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), Mele Kyari, in Abuja on Friday.

During the meeting, PETROAN presented Kyari with an honorary award, recognizing him as a life council member of the association and lauding him as the most productive GMD/GCEO of the NNPCL.

According to Dr. Obele, the discussions focused on enhancing collaboration between NNPCL and PETROAN to ensure efficient and uninterrupted fuel supply across the country during the festive season.

“The strategic meeting was very successful. We deliberated on effective measures for seamless petroleum product distribution nationwide. The highlight was the presentation of an award to the GCEO by PETROAN’s National President, Dr. Billy Gillis-Harry,” he said.

Dr. Gillis-Harry expressed gratitude to Kyari for his contributions to reviving the Port Harcourt Refinery and promoting growth in Nigeria’s petroleum sector. The association recognized these efforts as instrumental in ensuring stability and progress in the industry.

The agreement between NNPCL and PETROAN is expected to mitigate fuel scarcity and enhance accessibility, ensuring a smooth festive season for Nigerians.
