Salah Set to Leave Liverpool for PSG Next Summer

Date:

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is reportedly in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain over a potential free transfer next summer.

Salah’s situation at Liverpool has become uncertain as his contract is set to expire in the summer of 2025, with no extension offered yet. As a result, his future at Anfield appears increasingly in doubt. The Egyptian forward, who scored his 13th goal of the season in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Manchester City, is now a target for several clubs, with PSG reportedly leading the race for his signature.

According to French publication L’Equipe, Salah has opened the door to a move to PSG, with discussions reportedly already underway. The French giants are looking to replace the void left by Kylian Mbappé, who made a high-profile move to Real Madrid on a free transfer earlier this year.

PSG’s interest in Salah isn’t new, as they previously sought to sign Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho and Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the summer, without success. The club has also been linked with Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams. With Salah’s contract situation unresolved, PSG sees next summer as their best opportunity to secure the prolific winger.

If Liverpool fails to extend Salah’s contract by the new year, the Egyptian star will enter the final six months of his deal, making him eligible to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with another club. As things stand, a summer departure from Anfield seems increasingly likely.
