Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush, as the Egyptian international continues to impress in the Bundesliga this season.
The 25-year-old has caught the attention of several top clubs, including Liverpool, where his international teammate Mohamed Salah is said to have recommended him to Anfield decision-makers.
However, according to Sky Sports Germany, United could beat Liverpool to Marmoush’s signature. Club scouts have been monitoring the forward closely, and there is speculation that a January bid may be in the works.
United’s new manager, Ruben Amorim, is expected to have limited funds compared to his predecessor, Erik ten Hag. As a result, the club may pursue more affordable options during the winter transfer window. While Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres remains a top target, his £83 million valuation could push United to consider Marmoush, who is reportedly priced around £50 million.
There is speculation that Marmoush could even be a long-term replacement for Salah at Liverpool, should the Egyptian star depart Anfield. Marmoush’s impressive performances and versatility make him a viable target for both Premier League giants.
