The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, from ₦990 to ₦970 per litre, providing relief to oil marketers.
This announcement was made on Sunday by the refinery’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, who described the move as a gesture of appreciation to Nigerians for their support in realizing the refinery’s vision.
Trucks were seen loading petrol at the refinery located in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, signaling the start of operations under the revised pricing.
“This price reduction is also a token of gratitude to the government for their backing, as it aligns with efforts to encourage domestic enterprise for the collective well-being,” Chiejina stated.
He added that the refinery remains committed to producing high-quality, environmentally sustainable fuel while scaling up production to exceed domestic demand and dispel fears of shortages.
The new price structure allows marketers to save approximately ₦20 per litre, offering a boost to their operations and profitability.
