Ondo 2024: INEC Names Lucky Aiyedatiwa Winner of Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially declared Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the Ondo State governorship election held on Saturday.

Aiyedatiwa secured 366,781 votes, defeating his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 117,845 votes. The APC triumphed across all 18 local government areas of the state.

The Labour Party (LP) and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) received 1,162 votes and 2,692 votes, respectively.

The results were officially announced by the collation officer, Prof. Olayemi Akinwunmi, at INEC’s State Headquarters in Akure.
