Tinubu appoints Olopade as National Sports Commission DG

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Bukola Olopade as the Director General of the National Sports Commission.

This was contained in a statement by Special Adviser to the President (Information & Strategy), Bayo Onanuga, announcing new appointments by the president.

Olopade is a sports administrator with years of expertise in the field. He is the chairman of the Local Organising Committee for the 2024 National Sports Festival.

He also served as Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Ogun State.
He is also one of the brains behind the globally acclaimed Access Bank Lagos City Marathon which is now in its ninth edition.

Olopade’s appointment comes after the earlier appointment of Shehu Dikko as the Chairman of the National Sports Commission.
