The Super Falcons will face France’s Senior Women National Team, Les Bleues, in a high-profile friendly match on Saturday, November 30, 2024, in France.
This friendly follows a successful double-header for the Falcons against Algeria last month.
The Super Falcons triumphed 2-0 and 4-1 in the two matches, held in Ikenne-Remo and Lagos respectively. A number of home-based players impressed in the squad, which is coached by Justine Madugu.
The upcoming match against France will take place at the Stade Raymond Kopa in Angers, with the match set to kick off at 9:30 PM local time (France).
While France views the game as part of their preparations for the UEFA Women’s Nations League in the spring and the 2025 UEFA Women’s Euro Championship in Switzerland, the Super Falcons see it as another crucial step in developing a new squad ahead of the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco next summer.
This will mark only the seventh time in history that France’s women’s team will play in the city of Angers.
